The Little Guardians: Earth Explorers Initiative is Teen Lead Foundation’s signature environmental education program designed to inspire children to become lifelong stewards of the Earth. The initiative is built around three core workshops: the Clean Water Workshop, Soil Conservation Workshop, and Clean Air Workshop.
Designed for kindergarten through middle school students, the program combines literacy-based learning with hands-on environmental activities to help children understand how natural systems work and why protecting them matters. Each workshop uses storytelling from the Little Guardians book series alongside interactive demonstrations and experiments that encourage curiosity, problem-solving, and teamwork.
The initiative is flexible to meet the needs of partnering institutions. It may be delivered as a continuous 8-week program that integrates all three workshops or as standalone 2-hour sessions for individual topics, depending on school schedules and program goals.
Little Guardians: Earth Explorers is implemented in schools, after-school programs, libraries, and community spaces in collaboration with local partners. By connecting environmental science to everyday life, the program equips children with the knowledge, confidence, and values needed to care for the environment and lead positive change in their communities.
We are thrilled to share that Teen Lead Foundation is now officially a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization in the USA!
This milestone opens new doors for us to expand our mission of empowering children and teens through environmental stewardship and sustainability, STEAM education, leadership development, and cultural pride, both here in the United States and in Ghana.
